$2,000.00

Here is featured a large Italian hand carved gilt wood mirror or looking glass in the Rococo style. This mirror was manufactured circa 1950-1960 in Italy for Debarge Mirrors. The frame is made from fruit wood and completely hand carved. The carvings are crisp and distinct. The traditional Rococo themes are present such as scroll work and shell forms. The gilt finish was also aged when manufactured to add to the look of being a period mirror even though it was made after the period. The item has the original glass which is in excellent condition. The over all look of the mirror is impressive. This is a great size for use over a commode or as a center piece for a wall. There are no visible losses or other damage.
